摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To reduce the generation of a shift shock by selecting combination, where the number of fluctuation revolutions of a rotary member is low, as combination of engagement and disengagement of a frictional engaging means when a shift is carried out in a state that control of reduction of engine torque is not effected. CONSTITUTION:A shift control device 10 is connected to an engine control device 11, an engine control device 11 effects control reduction of engine torque through output of a shift signal from the shift control device 10 to the engine control device 11, and when control of reduction of engine torque is impracticable, the signal is outputted to the shift control device 10. An automatic transmission A is provided with a gear train having a plurality of kinds of engagement and disengagement patterns for setting a given speed. When a state wherein control of reduction of engine torque is impracticable is produced, combination of engagement and disengagement of a fractional engaging means for setting a given speed is varied to combination where the number of fluctuation revolutions of a rotary member is low. As a result, inertial torque during a shift is decreased, the generation of a shift shock is reduced, and worsening of the shift shock is prevented from occurring.</p>
