PURPOSE:To prevent scrambled disturbed video or audio signal from being outputted during descrambling in advance by inhibiting the output of a video signal and/or an audio signal till descrambling is finished when the reception of a television signal subject to scrambling is started. CONSTITUTION:A CPU from a television control circuit 4 executes a timer start processing procedure RTO, references scramble control information inputted as a reception data DTRD from an audio signal processing circuit 13 and judges whether or not selected television signal STV is a scramble channel signal and sends a video control signal CNTVD and an audio signal CNTAD indicating descrambling to a video signal processing circuit 9 and an audio signal processing circuit 13 and sends a control signal CNTCRT on-controlling the screen of a CRT 12 when the descrambling is finished. Thus, a disturbed video signal is not displayed on the CRT 12 and only the descrambled correct video is displayed. |
