The display has a count value memory (1) coupled via a coder (4) to a driver stage (8) for a segmental digital display (10,11,12,13). A position detector (3) provides an output fed to a second input of the coder (4), the latter providing a position dependant coding which codes the characters of the count value, so that the head character is normally read out. Pref. the memory (1) and the coder (4) are combined in a control microprocessor for the display driver (8). |
