<p>PURPOSE:To improve the resolution in a still picture part by reading a picture data of odd and even number fields to be outputted corresponding to an odd number field scanning period and an even number field scanning period from 1st and 2nd field memories and outputting the data. CONSTITUTION:When a magnetic tape 2 is carried forward at a tape speed in response to a slow motion reproduction mode, a reproduction video signal S1 read out of a recording track TA or TB via a magnetic head 3 is stored respectively in a 1st field memory 4 or a 2nd field memory 5 in response to an odd number field video signal and an even number field video signal. A picture data stored in the 1st field memory 4 and the 2nd field memory 5 is read in the timing of a prescribed clock and fed respectively to input terminals 6A, 6B of a still picture section changeover circuit 6 as picture data signals S2, S3.</p> |
