The cable-way cabin has a multi-section frame supporting seats, floor plate, walls and door. There are two roughly rectangular frame sections (6,7) held apart by cross-struts (8) at right angles to them at top and bottom. On the outside of each frame section are two U-shaped struts, whose parallel shanks are secured to it at their ends and clear of its longitudinal members. The struts are held apart by beams parallel to the longitudinal members, and their bases are longer than their shanks. ADVANTAGE - Convex side and end walls, and simple component couplings.
