Streptomyces hygroscopics Tu-2474 and its mutants capable of producing hydantocidin (I) and/or homomycin (II) are new. USE/ADVANTAGE - Streptomyces Tu2474 and its mutants can be used in the prodn. of (I) which is a herbicide and (II) which is a bactericide.
