PURPOSE:To obtain high dust collection capacity at a low noise level and to more reduce the generation amount of ozone, by forming the partition plate partitioning a flow passage of dust-containing air so as to have a wavy cross-section and providing a discharge means performing uniform discharge toward the peripheral edge parts of the air passing holes provided to the side surfaces of said partition plate. CONSTITUTION:When dust-containing air is sent in an electric precipitator from the direction shown by an arrow by a blower means, air enters the valley parts of a corrugated partition plate 3 and subsequently passes through air passing holes 4. At this time, because the air passing holes 4 are provided to the side surfaces of the corrugated partition plate 3, by arbitrarily selecting the height of corrugation and the interval between corrugations, the number of the air passing holes 4 can be increased without being limited by the size of a flow passage 2 and the flow speed of air passing through the air passing holes 4 becomes low. A discharge wire 8 is provided to the air passing holes 4 so as to pierce through the centers thereof and, when high voltage is applied between the partition plate 3 and the discharge wire 8, uniform corona discharge is generated toward the peripheral edge parts of the air passing holes 4 through a large number of discharge points.
