PURPOSE:To accomplish the titled preparation by enveloping a solid raw material with a synthetic polymer thin film soluble to the other raw material, i.e. a liquid one followed by dissolving said solid material together with the thin film in the liquid material to ensure the solid material to be controlled in a safe manner. CONSTITUTION:In the preparation of a raw material for polymerization by dissolving a solid material (pref. maleimide monomer) at 20 deg.C in the other raw material, i.e. a liquid one (pref. styrene) at 20 deg.C, said solid material is enveloped in a thin film (pref. 0.1-0.3mm thick) made of a synthetic polymer (e.g. polystyrene) (partially) soluble to said liquid material (pref. by heat sealing) followed by dissolving said solid material together with the thin film in said liquid material, thus accomplishing the objective preparation. EFFECT:Effective in the prevention from scattering of powdery material, static electricity generation, sticking of the powdery material on the inner wall of dissolver, clogging of the flow channel of the dissolver, etc., retention of raw material composition and the prevention of impurities from contamination in polymerization system.
