PURPOSE:To lessen current comsumption and ensure driving stability by supplying large current to a solenoid, based on a damping force switching signal to soft characteristic, to open a valve body, and changing current to weak one to be supplied after the fulfillment of a given condition is judged. CONSTITUTION:When a by-pass passage 9 is opened, since a valve body 29 is energized with a coil spring 31, force movable against the energized force is required, and large current is supplied to a solenoid 35 from an electric circuit 38. As shown in the left half of the figure, a plunger 34 is pulled up and the valve body 29 is separated from a valve seat 27 to open the by-pass passage 9. When the plunger 34 is pulled up and the fulfillment of a given condition, showing the abutting to a base 36, is judged with a judging means, the plunger 34 is attracted to the base 36 and its position can be retained by even small current, therefore current supplied from the electric circuit 38 is changed into weak current. |
