The two legs 1, 2 and the two uprights 4, 5 are oriented along the same plane while the third leg 6 and the third upright 7 are articulated on the central core 3 so that after folding the plate 11 articulated at the top of the two uprights 4, 5, the articulated elements 6, 7 are capable of being folded back into a flat position, enabling the piece of furniture to be stored with a very low floor- space requirement. <IMAGE>
