PURPOSE:To obtain an optical information recording medium suitable for recording with a laser beam of a specific wavelength by a method wherein an organic dye contains a cyanine dye, and an optical information recording layer has a specific range of spectral absorption peak. CONSTITUTION:An absorption maximum wavelength of a methanol solution of a typical dye used for a recording layer, e.g. a cyanine dye, is 425nm. This dye is a material which can reflect a light per in a single layer form. The cyanine dye absorbs and reflects a light in the range of 400 - 500nm. In this manner, a large-capacity and low-cost optical information recording medium can be produced. |
