摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent a marking part from being wrongly read over a long period of time by providing the side face of a base paper with at least one marking part coated with a magnetic coating material. CONSTITUTION:The side face of an image receiving paper is provided with a marking part 13 coated with a magnetic coating material. Therefore, when a magnetic sensitive sensor 14 cannot detect the marking part 13 within a predetermined time, a thermocompressive transfer recording device judges that the image receiving paper is turned inside out or an improper image receiving paper is being transferred and receives the image receiving paper as such without effecting the thermocompressive transfer. When at least two marking parts 13 are detected within a predetermined time, the image receiving papers are judged as being transferred one upon another and the image receiving papers are received without undergoing the thermocompressive transfer. When one marking part 13 is detected within a predetermined time, the paper is judged as being transferred in a proper condition and the thermocompressive transfer is conducted. In this way the detecting region is not hindered by dusts or the like, as opposed to a reflection type light sensor, and the marking part of the image receiving paper can be stably and accurately detected over a long period of time.
