PURPOSE:To efficiently treat blood waste water by previously subjecting the blood to a decomposition treatment with using protease, then treating the treated liquid with an activated sludge method. CONSTITUTION:The blood is subjected to the decomposition treatment by using the protease and thereafter, the treated liquid is treated by the activated sludge method at the time of treating the blood waste water by a biological oxidation method using the activated sludge method. The protein contained in the treated blood is decomposed and is more liable to be metabolized by aerobic micro- organisms as compared with the direct treatment of the blood by the activated sludge and, therefore, the residual COD concn. and BOD concn. are lowered and since malodors, etc., are not generated, the effect of allowing the efficient execution of the waste water treatment is obtd. |
