PURPOSE:To obtain a large amount of the subject enzyme useful as a clinical diagnostic enzyme for quantitatively determining polyamines which are tumor markers in urine at a low cost by culturing a microorganism, belonging to the genus Escherichia and holding a specific recombinant DNA. CONSTITUTION:A microorganism, belonging to the genus Escherichia and holding a recombinant DNA which is prepared by integrating a DNA carrying genetic information about production of acetylpolyamineamide hydrolase derived from the genus Mycoplana into a vector is cultured and the objective enzyme is then obtained from the aforementioned culture. Furthermore, e.g. Escherichia coli TRC-APH (FERM BP-2986) is used as the microorganism holding the above- mentioned recombinant DNA. |
