PURPOSE:To know the position of a moving body by correcting the inclination of the horizontal plane due to rotation of the earth round its own axis by an amount according to the rotation. CONSTITUTION:A gyroscope is furnished to obtain horizontal plane, and a device is provided to put the plane in synchronization with rotation of the earth round its own axis. A device to remove influence of a dead-weight and the acceleration is installed along with a device to remove the influence of the gravitational force of the sum and moon. The horizontal plane obtained by the gyroscope is made synchronous with the rotation of the earth, and horizontal plane in the place is maintained, and vertical line to the horizontal plane is put identical to the direction of the gravitation. When moving apart from the place, the vertical line is deviated from the direction of gravitation accordingly, so that the azimuth and distance are determined from the deviating direction and the angle. At this time, influence of the attracting force of sun and moon is removed. This enables use of a costly satellite navigation method. |
