PURPOSE:To ensure high sensitivity and high spectral reflectance and enable reading with a low-power reproducing beam, by providing a recording film with a structure in which In particulates and an organic material are dispersed in a matrix comprising In2O3 as a main constituent, and specifying the ratio of the amount of the In particulates to the amount of the organic material. CONSTITUTION:An optical information recording medium comprises on a substrate a recording film for recording information by forming protuberant deformed parts by irradiation with a laser beam. The recording film comprises In particulates and an organic material dispersed in a matrix comprising In2O3 as a main constituent. The amount WIn (wt.%) of the In particulates and the amount WHC (wt.%) of the organic material are so set that 0.3<=WIn/WHC<=5.0. By using the recording film, it is possible to provide the optical information recording medium with excellent characteristics, namely, high sensitivity property which enables formation of bubbles even by irradiation with a low-power laser beam, smooth bubble formation which gives high SNR of reproduction signals, spectral property with high reflectance which ensures easy designing of a writing/reproducing pickup, or the like, with favorable reproducibility. |
