The water is contained in a bag (1) made of linen or plastic itself contained in a very strong linen bag (3) suspended by a steel cable (6) from the helicopter and closed at the bottom by an electromagnetic lock (8), the opening of which releases the inner bag (1) provided with an ignition device (4) at the top which is activated when an insulating plate is withdrawn, allowing an electric current to flow; the ignition causes self-adhesive strips (2) forming a mesh around the outside of the bag (1) to "explode". The insulating plate is withdrawn, after the release of the bag (1), by pulling on an ignition wire (5) of adjustable length attached to the helicopter. The "explosion" causes the water to spread out. <IMAGE>
