A ring shaped member (6) is installed between the inner circumference of an anode piece (2) and the outer circumference of an electron departure preventing plate (5), thereby preventing the departure of electrons from the magnetron. The ring shaped member has a high insulating property, and maintains the solidity at a temperature of 2000 degrees K. According to the present invention, electrons can be prevented from being gone astray into a ineffective space in a magnetron due to the thermionic phenomenon.
