PURPOSE:To reproduce desired pieces of music by controlling the time when a tone arm is lowered according to the intensity of reflected light from a part between pieces of music on a record disk. CONSTITUTION:A light emitting element 16 is provided by being held by the projection part 12A of a head shell 12 projecting to in front of a cartridge 13 and positioned on its center line. The 1st photodetecting element 17 is also provided by being held by the said projection part 12A and leading the light emitting element 16 by a prescribed distance in the turning direction of a tone arm 11. The 2nd photodetecting element 18, on the other hand, is held by the said projection part 12A and positioned on its center line. Then, signals from the photodetecting elements are supplied to a microcomputer 21 to turn on and off muting. The microcomputer 21 outputs a reproduced signal only when an intermusic part on a record disk 15 is detected. |
