CONSTITUTION:Since a developing solution remains in a developing solution groove 3a, the remaining developing solution is removed in such a way that a latent image is formed so as to consume the remaining developing solution and toner particles are adhered to the latent image when an error occurs. When an error occurs while a color picture is recorded with the 2nd or after the 2nd color, the recording process is made on electrostatic recording paper 4 with the first color, since at least the first color is recorded, and the recording paper 4 is carried to a position at which the remaining developing solution removing process performed position comes to the downstream side of a recording head.
