摘要 PURPOSE:To decrease the number of revolutions of an engine with an excellent responsiveness and to reduce the torque produced by the engine by making it possible to lower a supercharging pressure obtained from a supercharger in the engine air intake system by a supercharging pressure control means controlled by a supercharging pressure reducing means when an automatic transmission is put under a stall condition. CONSTITUTION:In the case of having detected the fact that an automatic transmission 50 is put under a stall condition, a usual supercharging pressure control carried out according to an accelerator pedal operating volume sent from an accelerator sensor 84 is switched over to a supercharging pressure reducing control to reduce a supercharging pressure so that the number of revolution of an engine body 1 can be decreased below a prescribed number of revolution. And the supercharging pressure obtained in an air intake route 2 from turbo superchargers 11 and 12 on the primary and the secondary sides is reduced and the number of revolutions of the engine proper 1 is decreased so that torque which is generated by the engine proper 1 and is transmitted to the automatic transmission 50 can be decreased. In this way, the fluid temperature ascersion in a fluid torque converter comprising the automatic transmission 50 can be restrained effectively with an excellent responsiveness.
