PURPOSE:To obtain metal magnetic powder having uniform particle size distribution and containing iron as essential component by adding alkali into water solution containing iron ion, blowing oxygen-containing gas and heat-reducing reacting product under reducing gas. CONSTITUTION:Into the water solution containing ferrous ion as the main component, the equivalent or more of mixed alkali of alkali carbonate and alkali hydroxide, is added to this ion and reacted. Successively, to this reacted liquid, the oxygen-containing gas is blown to execute oxidizing reaction. After that, water heat treatment is executed and the obtd. reacting product containing alpha-FeOOH is filtrated and dried and further, heat-reduced under reducing gas to manufacture the metal magnetic powder containing the iron as the main component. By this method, the particle size and axial ratio in the metal magnetic powder can be easily adjusted. |
