<p>PURPOSE:To evade nonconformity that the volume of a glove box is limited with knee protectors by bently providing the knee protector so as to exist in the outside of the opening/closing action locus of the glove box looked from a vehicle width direction. CONSTITUTION:In a glove box device for a vehicle in which a glove box 14, whose lower end is axis-supported to an instrument panel main body 2 with a hinge 3, is opening/closing freely provided on the lower side of a main frame 1 extending in a vehicle width direction; the pair of knee protectors 15L and 15R composed of a bent metal plate are fitted to the main frame 1 with an interval according to an interval of both the knees of a person on board above the glove box 14. These knee protectors 15L and 15R are fixed at their base ends by welding to the peripheral surface on the upper side of the vehicle rear part of the main frame 1, extends toward the body rear side from the main frame 1, then is U-shapedly bent toward the lower side, and is provided so as to exist in the outside of the rotation locus of the rear wall 14b of the glove box 14 looked from a vehicle width direction.</p> |
