PURPOSE:To reduce a manufacturing cost and make mass production feasible by simultaneously executing multi-layer extrusion molding of a solid electrolyte layer, an air electrode layer and a fuel electrode layer with the use of mixed and kneaded materials processed to be extrusion moldable by means of the corresponding materials and then baking them. CONSTITUTION:Multi-layer extrusion molding of an interconnector 5, a solid electrolyte layer 3, an air electrode layer 2 and a fuel electrode layer 4 are simultaneously executed with the use of the mixed and kneaded materials corresponding to respective layers. When a fuel cell 1 formed in three-layers structure simultaneously in one process is baked, the air electrode layer 2, the solid electrolyte layer 3, the interconnector 5 and the fuel electrode layer 4 are sintered respectively and the respective layers 2, 3, 4 are mutually bound together, and at the same time the fuel electrode layer 4 is formed in a porous layer by sublimation of blended volatile material when baked. When a current is generated, oxygen gas is forced to flow into the air electrode 2 side and when hydrogen gas which acts as fuel is forced to flow into the fuel electrode layer 4 side, oxygen ions pass through the solid electrolyte layer 3 and react to the hydrogen gas, and since the fuel electrode 4 is formed in porous state during the baking time, the contact easiness of hydrogen gas to the surface of the solid electrolyte 3 is secured. |
