摘要 In polyurethane (PUR) insulating foam, which may contain conventional additives, e.g. catalysts, stabilisers and/or crosslinkers and liquid or solid flame retardant, the novel features are that (a) the pores are free from halohydrocarbons and contain small amts. of 3-6C lower alkane (I) used as blowing agent, and (b) the PUR material contains a phosphate ester of formula (RO-)3P=O (II). R = 1-3C alkyl or phenyl. Pref. R = Et, i.e. (II) is triethyl phosphate (IIA). USE/ADVANTAGE - Foam free from halohydrocarbons can be produced more easily than usual for foam using pentane as blowing agent and in a wider range, i.e. with permanently low lambda value and high fire protection class. Insulating foam of this type is useful e.g. in buildings, cold boxes and refrigerators. (5pp Dwg.No.0/0)
