PURPOSE:To provide a sufficient strength as an anti-lightning element wire without bringing about increase in the weight and achieve an excellent antilightning property by forming a covering so that a segment-form large arc surface side part has a greater thickness than other parts, and embedding a thermoconductive member in this large arc surface side part. CONSTITUTION:A covering 2 is made of Al or Al alloy, wherein a large arc surface side part has a greater thickness than other parts, and in this large arc surface side part a thermocnductive member 3 is embedded consisting of Cu etc., which has a higher thermal conductivity than Al or Al alloy. This ensures excellent heat radiating performance because the heat, which is given by eventual lightning charge at the large arc surface side part of an eccentric metal composite wire, is disseminated through this thermoconductive member 3. Therefore, the heat generated at lightning discharge can be dispersed quickly through the member 3 by arranging the eccentric metal composite wire while twined together around an optical fiber or a power transmission line in such an arrangement that the large arc surface side is facing outside. Thus the anti- lightning property can be enhanced with a sufficient strength ensured without requiring increase in the weight. |
