PURPOSE:To obtain the subject resin composition having high heat-stability in melt-extrusion and giving an extrusion molded article such as film and sheet having excellent surface appearance by compounded a crystalline thermoplastic polyester resin with a small amount of a phenolic resin. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition generating <= 0.1 wt.% of a material solid at normal temperature by the melt-treatment at 260 deg.C for 50 min is produced by compounding (A) 95-99.99 wt.% of a resin composed mainly of a polyester resin (preferably polybutylene terephthalate, etc.) composed mainly of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid (or its ester-forming derivative) and a 2-8C aliphatic dihydroxy compound and (B) 5-0.01 wt.% of a phenolic resin of formula (A and B are bivalent organic radical or a bond; R1 to R4 are H, alkyl or halogen) (preferably a polyarylate resin composed of bisphenol A and a benzenedicarboxylic acid, etc.). |
