PURPOSE:To improve the handling performance of a portable telephony equipment by changing the length of a housing and display range between a working state and a non-working state (stored state) of the telephony equipment. CONSTITUTION:A portable telephony equipment has such a structure where the length of a housing and the display range can be different between a display device 3 of a working state (A) and a display device 4 of a non-working state (B). The state (B), the least necessary functions are displayed such as the display of the battery capacity, the display in a service area, etc., and the length of the hiusing is reduced for improvement of the storing performance. Meanwhile in the state (A), the length of the housing is increased and the distance between a telephone transmitter 1 and a telephone receiver 2 is set close to the distance between the mouse and the ear of a user. Thus the talking sound volume is increased and at the same time the display capacity is also increased. As a result, even the input dial numbers can be displayed. |
