PURPOSE:To determine the position of a microphone in the detecting dust of an acoustic gyroscope simply and accurately. CONSTITUTION:Chambers 21 and 25 are provided in a case 20 and connected with a channel 30a, which is formed between an upper cover 30 and an upper surface 20a of the case by way of communicating paths 22 and 24. A microphone 33 is fixed at a position, which is offset from an acoustic neutral point facing the channel 30a on the upper cover 30. The channel 30a constitutes the detecting dust. The sound pressure obtained by the driving of a speaker 26, which is provided along both chambers, is detected with the microphone 33. The rotating angular velocity of the case 20 is obtained based on the phase change of the sound pressure. The positioning of the microphone 33 with respect to the duct is performed on the upper cover 30 for regulating the length of the channel. Therefore, the positioning can be accurately performed, and the accuracy as the gyroscope is improved by the accurate setting of the position with respect to the neutral point. |
