SYNTHETIC PEPTIDE ANTIGEN FOR DETECTION OF HEPATITIS C VIRUS ANTIBODY, COMPOSITION THEREOF AND USE THEREOF

PURPOSE:To provide the subject synthetic peptide antigen corresponding to a partial protein in a protein region coded by HCV gene and capable of executing a high-sensitive HCV infection diagnosis with very excellent specificity. CONSTITUTION:One or more antigenic peptides selected from peptides synthesized by a peptide synthesizer based on cDNA sequence informations of HCV (causative virus of heptatisis C) and having amino acid sequences of formulae I-V or a part of the above-mentioned peptides. The above-mentioned peptides are useful for a high-reliable and specific diagnosis of an HCV-infected HC patient or for a high reliable and specific HCV infection screening of blood or blood derivatives respectively remarkably low in wrong diagnosis. A combination between C825 group of formulae I-III and C100J group of formula IV or V, especially a combination between a peptide of formula I and a peptide of formula IV is preferably used.
