<p>A hand-held electro/optical range finder, sends discrete pulses of coherent light to a retroreflector which is mounted on a golf course pin. The time period required for the light pulses to traverse the distance between the golfer and the pin is converted into a distance measurement which is displayed to the golfer.</p> |
