PURPOSE:To achieve a higher operability with an automatic optimum display by reading a corresponding optimum display pattern into a memory means based on the type of an image, specified by an input means for specifying types of images to control image display. CONSTITUTION:When an operator outputs a display demand in a list of images which can be displayed from a console 2 to a control section 3, a hard disc drive section 4 or an optical disc drive section 6 provides a command to read image information of the images stored in a hard disc 5 and an optical disc 7 respectively to display a list of images stored on a display monitor 1. When the operator selects an image from the list of the images displayed and provides a display command of images to the control section 3, the control section 3 reads a part to be taken, a photographing method and a photographing modality to search a record which is matched all in this respect. Then, a display pattern recorded is read and an image of the optimum pattern is displayed automatically on a display monitor 1 according to a display data of the display pattern in the record read. |
