PURPOSE:To facilitate mounting and removal of a fluorescent lamp on/from a lighting fixture and provide changeability for the direction of fluorescent lamp by furnishing the lamp base with a fitting part and an electricity receiving terminal, and equipping the fixture with a holder and an electricity feeding terminal. CONSTITUTION:A fluorescent lamp 1 includes a light emitting tube 10 which can maintain a tube wall load over 80mW/cm<2>, and the two-end stems 10a, 10b of this light emitting tube 10 in ring form are covered in a single piece with and retained by a hollow lamp base 11. On the outside of this lamp base 11, a fitting part 12 is in a single piece provided protrusively in the radial arrangement in the direction opposite the center of the ring form, and plate-shaped electricity receiving terminals 16a, 16b are furnished on the outsides of two mutually facing surfaces of this fitting part 12, and a hollow holder 22 is installed on a support frame 21 rotatably through a horizontal threaded shaft 23. On the inside of this holder 22, a pair of plate-shaped electricity feeding terminals 24a, 24b are furnished in connection with the electricity receiving terminals 16a, 16b outside of the fitting part 12, and there also are installed a pair of leaf springs 25 where a projection 18 on the outside of the fitting part 12 is detained removably. |
