The method involves drawing out multiple element filaments (1) in a wirer, e.g. a metallic tube (2). The tube has a square cross-section to form square section filaments with an outer square sheath. The wire assembly is then twisted (5) by roller rotation and the dimensions drawn out until the required dimensions of the sheathed conductor are reached.
