PURPOSE:To make it difficult to generate track wondering phenomenon without deteriorating high high-speed driving ability, wear resistance, low fuel consumption and so on of a pneumatic radial tire for heavy load by providing sawtooth- shaped rough parts at both edges of a tread surface in a tire peripheral direction. CONSTITUTION:Plural main grooves 4 which extend in a tire peripheral direction are provided on the ground contact surface of a tread part 1, that is, a tread surface 10. With this constitution, a sawtooth-shaped rough part 5 which has a pointed end part 9 in the tire peripheral direction respectively is provided at both the edges of the tread surface 10. Besides, V-shaped grooves 8 which faces a tire rotational shaft direction from the tread surface 10 to a shoulder part 7 are continuously provided at a shoulder part 6 of the tread surface 10 to form the rough part 5. Therefore, when the rough part 5 comes into contact with the wall surface of a track, the pointed end part 9 comes into point-contact with the wall surface, so that reaction becomes larger and larger gradually. As a result, the tire is not pushed back by the wall surface of the track, so it is possible to get over the track easily. |
