PAGE PRINTER CONTROL APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To perform the operation as a page printer of a full page printing control system and to eliminate an impossible state of printing by detecting the reception of printing data exceeding predetermined quantity and stopping memory processing on the basis of the detection result to deliver paper at the point of time when the printing pattern corresponding to printing data is developed on a bit map memory by the quantity corresponding to one page. CONSTITUTION:A detection means 3 detects that printing data exceeding predetermined quantity becoming impossible to print is received because the quantity of the printing data developed on a bit map memory 6 is much and the processing developing a printing pattern on the bit map memory 6 from the printing data stored in a compression data memory 5 does not catch up the printing speed of a printing mechanism part 2 and informs this state to a control means 4. The control means 4 develops the printing pattern corresponding to one page on the bit map memory 6 and subsequently issues a command for the printing mechanism 2 to deliver paper. Therefore, a page printer of a band buffer printing control system can be used as a page printer of a full page printing control system and it is prevented that the printing mechanism part 2 becomes impossible to print by the quantity of printing data.
