<p>PURPOSE:To prevent pairing or color slurring caused by overemphasis of a color signal at a scanning line position by providing a means applying interpolation processing to a non-sampling point in a horizontal direction with respect to sampling points in a field and a means applying interpolation processing through the change of a coefficient for each field in a vertical direction to the converter. CONSTITUTION:The processing restoring the nonlinearity emphasis characteristic having been provided in the case of transmission of a MUSE signal through FM modulation is applied to the MUSE signal converted into a digital signal at an A/D converter 2 by a nonlinearity emphasis filter 3. In order to decode a signal subjected to subsampling, the interpolation processing of a non-sampling point in a horizontal direction with respect to sampling points in a field and the interpolation processing to a luminance signal and a chrominance signal through the change of a coefficient for each field in a vertical direction are implemented to each of the luminance signal and the chrominance signal. Thus, the deterioration in the quality of picture due to pairing and color slurring is prevented by matching the scanning position of the chrominance signal and the luminance signal on a same position tightly in this way.</p> |
