PURPOSE:To reduce influence of the pressure of snow accumulated on a road marginal strip, etc. upon a boundary indication pile by placing the end of a heat pipe in the ground to make it as an evaporation section, and making an indication section extended on the ground as a condensation section to maintain a snow-melting operation. CONSTITUTION:In a boundary indication pile 11, the inside of a steel pipe is hollowed, and condensed hydraulic fluid F is enclosed in the inside thereof to have it perform a heat pipe function. After that, a lower evaporation section 11a is inserted into a hole bored in a boundary section B between a roadway R and a road marginal strip E so that it is approximately vertical. When snow S is piled up on the road marginal strip E, in an indication section 11b of the boundary indication pile 11, heat gathered from the underground is radiated. At that time, the snow S in a part brought into contact with the indication section 11b or near thereto is melted to form a hollow H around the indication section 11b. Accordingly, it is hard to influence the boundary indication pile by pressure of the snow S, and destruction or damage, etc., caused by pressure of the snow S can be prevented. |
