Compressible material capable of being injected as a thin layer for a packing seal and process for its manufacture

The material consists of a polysiloxane elastomer crosslinked cold, in which are dispersed hollow microspheres of a copolymer of vinylidene chloride and acrylonitrile. It can be prepared by injection, under pressure, of a homogeneous mixture of a reactive polysiloxane oil, of microspheres and of a crosslinking catalyst.
