PURPOSE:To switch the discharge path of sheets positively and minimize hitting sound at change-over time at a low cost by providing an energizing means for energizing a switching claw in the closing direction with such energizing force as to push open the tip part of the switching claw by a sheet inserted into a reversing part. CONSTITUTION:A switching claw 20 is energized by a tension spring 41 through a lever 42 so as to be rotated counterclockwise, and its claw tip is either pressed to the lower face of an upper guide plate 45 in a carrier path or inserted partially into an escape hole provided in the upper guide plate 45 to close the carrier path at the normal time. In this case, however, the force of the tension spring 41 is set into such strength as to be pushed open by the body of a conveyed sheet itself. Accordingly, when a sheet 49 is conveyed into a reversing part, the switching claw 20 is pushed down by the body of the sheet 49 against the force of the tension spring 41, and a paper passing path is opened. When the rear end of the sheet 49 clears the tip of the switching claw 20, the switching claw 20 is returned into its initial position by the tension spring 41, and when the sheet 49 is conveyed in the reverse direction, the sheet 49 is guided by the lower face of the switching claw 20 so as to be fed smoothly and positively into a paper refeeding carrier route. |
