<p>PURPOSE:To perform the automatic disposal of a sheet jam in a paper feed part by providing a sheet jam detecting means, by the output of which either a feed roller or a reverse roller is driven reversely, close in front of resist rollers. CONSTITUTION:A paper jam detecting means 20 provided close in front of resist rollers 21 detects a paper jam generated at a paper feed part, that is, in front of the resist rollers 21, and outputs an output signal. With this output signal, either one of a feed roller 1 and a reverse roller 8 is driven reversely and the other is rotated together with it, and thus both rollers 1, 8 are rotated reversely as a roller pair. A jammed sheet is returned into a cassette 6 by the reverse rotation of this pair of rollers 1, 8 or discharged from a cassette mounting opening to perform jam disposal.</p> |
