PURPOSE:To save the quantity of toner required for developing by limiting an image area formed on a recording medium to one part when test copying is instructed. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive body 121, an electrostatic charge means 122, a destaticization means 123, an exposure means 110, a developing means 124, a transfer means 126 and a fixing means 12C are provided. Then, when the test copying is instructed by an input means 150, the electrostatic charged area of the electrostatic charge means 122 on the photosensitive body 121 is limited to a prescribed range by a control means. Due to that, even when exposure corresponding to an original is executed on the photosensitive body 121, an electrostatic latent image is formed only at an electrostatic charged part and an image formed on the recording medium becomes the image of an area corresponding to the electrostatic charged area. Thus, the quantity of the toner consumed at the time of test printing is suppressed. |
