TIME-CONTROLLED GAS SHUTOFF VALVE PATENT Inventors: Martin Walshin, et al 140-101 In a preferred embodiment, a compact, self-contained, time-controlled gas shutoff valve which may be easily installed in the gas line to a domestic gas barbecue grill. When the user wishes to light the grill, the valve is set to remain open for a selected time period which would usually be somewhat longer than the user expects to be using the grill. When the selected time has expired, the valve automatically shuts off and gas flow to the grill ceases, regardless of whether or not the user has remembered to shut off the main gas supply.
