Coupling device (1) for connecting two trolleys (17, 18) positioned one behind the other in the direction of movement. The coupling device (1) consists of two coupling components (2, 3) which are hinged with respect to one another. At least one of the said components is attached to the trolley concerned in a particularly effective manner. Said trolley is provided with uprights which extend vertically and the coupling component concerned is provided, close to the ends of the fixing bar (10), with U-shaped seatings (12) for receiving the uprights. By this means the coupling component concerned engages on the uprights and said component can be removed in a particularly simple manner. Furthermore, the production of such a fixing is particularly simple to implement.
