METHOD AND DEVICE FOR SWITCHING TERMINAL PROGRAM

PURPOSE:To enable each terminal equipment to confirm the reception of programs and to switch these programs by using each terminal equipment as a device that can hold the new and old programs and sending the working state of each terminal equipment from a host computer as a command. CONSTITUTION:Each of terminal equipments 3a-3n is used as a device that can hold both new and old programs, and a new program is transferred from a host computer 1. Thus the new program is held in a new program area of each terminal equipment. Therefore the present program and the new program are held in each area of a memory 6. Then the programs held in the new and old program areas are switched all at once to each other and the presence or absence of the transmission errors is recognized through the equipments 3a-3n by reference to a telegram of the command information received from the computer 1. Thus it is possible to recognize whether the new program is normally received or not and also to switch the programs all at once and in a short time.
