PURPOSE: To obtain the cartridge which may be ignited and smolders and buns even if this cartridge is not arranged above high-heat coal by specifying the grain size range of combustible particle materials and the density of a binding means and the packed particle materials. CONSTITUTION: The grain size of the combustible particle materials 25, such as sawdust particles, is specified to about 0.4 to about 2mm and are hermetically sealed and packaged by the binding means 26, such as combustible paper. An ignition assistant is penetrated in at least either of its end 27. The density of the packed particle materials is the density at which the mechanical strength sufficient for handling, etc., is imparted to the materials and that the cartridge 17 to smolder without burning by forming raising flames even in the absence of the flames when once ignited is obtainable. The binding means may be a soln. prepd. by mixing fine powder, such as wheat flour and flour, and water in place of the paper. |
