The apparatus includes a housing (30), with a support cup accommodating a rotatable trackball (3), an encoder ring (28) radially surrounding the cup and being rotatable independent of the trackball. Sensors detect the direction of rotation of the trackball with respect to X and Y directions, and the direction of rotation of the encoder ring with respect to a Z direction.</p> |
