The installation consists of a cabinet (10) in which an evaporator (15) is fitted. Fans (29) draw in air from the room (11) and blow it through the evaporator (15). At the same time, the air is sprayed with chilled water from a pipe (19) so that cold moist air flows into the room (11) through the outlets in the cabinet (10). The evaporator (15) is connected to a refrigeration circuit (18) which also cools the water in the tank (26) which supplies the chilled water to the pipe (19).
