The sensor point monitor acts on a transmitter (1), designed for reception of sensor signals (14) from the point sensor (2). Within the active region the sensor signals are continuously transmitted to a receiver (7). At least one transmission unit forms a transmitter (3), transmitting control signals in presettable time intervals in a wireless transmission of the sensor and control signals to the receiver. Pref. the transmitter is capable of transmitting the sensor and control signals in a simultaneous or time different manner. The receiver is capable to differentiate between the sensor and control signals. USE/ADVANTAGE - For alarms monitoring rooms or buildings, with reliable transmission of sensor signal and checking of functional efficiency of the sensor(s).
