The shoe-cleaning appliance (1), especially for very dirty footwear, has at least two rotary roller-brushes (5, 6) with horizontal axes (7). Comparatively short bristles (4, 4', 4") are positioned on the periphery of a drum (2, 3) which is mounted with one end (25) by means of an axially movable pin (27). The pin (27) is axially and movably mounted in a roller or ball bearing (26) fixed to the housing side (14). The drum's end facing the brush roller (6) fits into a coaxial hole (28) in the brush end and is secured on the other end of the pin by a safety-fitment (30) so that it cannot be axially displaced. An axially pointing bearing (31) acts as the fastening. USE/ADVANTAGE - The shoe-cleaning appliance for very dirty shoes and boots has easily replaceable brushes.
